The Sin family who dominate the fried carrot cake in Singapore

Do you know that the above carrot cake are run by the same family members? They are all children of the late Mr Sin Keng Soon (pass away 2022 at the ripe age of 93), who himself had been a veteran in the food business for more than half a century. All carrot cakes, chai po and chilli are hand made.

Those staying in Bukit Timah and Jurong west will be familiar with He Zhong Carrot Cake and Bukit Timah Fried White Carrot Cake respectively. Bukit Timah Fried White Carrot Cake is helmed by Sin Geok Haw, who has been in frying carrot cake for the past 26 years. He recently took a break, letting his sister to manage the stall at Bukit Timah to try out something different — fried carrot cake but it is coming with a twist. It is going to come in different flavor of spinach, seaweed and cheese. All carrot cake are handmade and will be branded under Mr Carrot Cake. It will be launched at Chinatown in July 2022.

An interesting development is that he will be using tokens and NFT to reward his partners and manage the franchising.
