Diane Yip, a San Francisco based designer who has worked at various high-tech companies at Silicon Valley. Currently, she is a Sr. Design Director at Medallia leading a team of designers working on Customer Experience Management platform design, both web and mobile. She is also a part-time artist passionate about creating digital characters.
Diane Yip was graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Fine Arts degree. Her works combines both her fine art drawing skill with computer software design illustration to create digital images. She loves to create digital characters. Through those characters, it reflects the current events happening around the world. Whether it’s the environment, news, fashion trend or others, she uses different image background, facial expressions, outfits and accessories to present those on her digital characters.
Her first series on Gen-Z girl collection expresses the emotion and sadness of Ukarine girls under the war.

Generation Z — Gen-Z are interesting and specific. They are truly the “Digital-ites.” They tend to care about trends, known for being ever-present messaging, on the internet, on social networks, and on mobile systems. Through this Gen-Z girl character, it reflects the current events happening around the world. Whether it’s the environment, news, fashion trend or others, she uses different image background, facial expressions, outfits and accessories to present those on her digital characters.
